This listing is for the frame/chassis, axles, transmission, transfer case, gas tank, and more off a 1997 Jeep Wrangler.
The Jeep was submerged in salt water so parts will need some work before use.
The worse part on the frame is the drivers side rear. You can see by the pictures the worst part. Should be able to be cleaned, coated and reused. Maybe a reinforcement plate if you want.
I am not sure the condition of the drivetrain components as like I said they were submerged in salt water. The chassis did roll fine. I did cut the emergency brake cables and the rear axle locked. You would just need to release the emergency brakes and it will roll.
The AX-5 transmission does move between gears fine. I assume this and the NP-231 transfer case to be reusable. You may want to open them up and replace the seals at least. The Jeep was a 4cyl model which would make the NP-231 a 21 spline?
You will need to bring a trailer to remove this. I would really like to get it out next weekend.
Priced to sell with no reserve. I could get a more than the listing price just for the transmission. Buy the whole thing take what you need and sell the rest. |
